Character design development. The bottom image of Isabelle is really where I want to go with it.

More Isabelle concepts. Some colour work this time. Isabelle with blonde hair and a red dress (both done in watercolour, watercolour crayon and charcoal pencil) and Emily in the purple dress and brunette hair

'Isabelle': film conceptual work

Baby Ahoy test screening

This is the film I am directing in college at the moment. My team mambers are Bruno & Brian. This clip was a team effort. ......Films are hard work!!!!!!!!!!

Its just a quick cycle of Oscar, the baby, in his imagaination, riding on the back of his toy caterpillar across a tree trunk in a forest. It has mistakes in the animation and colour, but you get the idea!!!

Lighting in life drawing

I was aiming for a kind of subtle atmosphere in this piece. The lighting was very strong and the model seemed kind of sad and lonely holding the teddy. I tried to capture some mood.

vibrant colour life drawing

Life drawing is an essential element to the animation course I'm studying in. This year is a year to be more experimental with media, composition and colour and there is less focus on getting the anatomy perfect because we've been working on that for 3years. In this piece I tried to be bolder with my colour palate.

Time to Blog!

Totally new to this whole 'blogging' business. Hoping to meet some people, see some art, learn some art related things, get some feedback on my work, that sort of thing. Im in my fourth year (of five) in The Irish School of Animation in Ballyfermot. Making my film this year and hoping to be finished pre-production very soon. Thats keeping me and my team pretty busy at the moment.
